Breeze Blocks

Breeze blocks can help regulate sunlight and promote ventilation in outdoor patios and breezeways, making them functional too, not just good looking. First introduced in American design during the 1930s, breeze blocks rapidly gained popularity until the 1970s, particularly in warmer locations like the Philippines.

Series 20-10 Type B
Series 30-07 Type C

Breeze blocks provide shade, coolness and privacy. They may be painted in any color or many colors. Breeze blocks not only vary in size and shape but also in the degree of openness, that is the amount of light and air they let through. This can be expressed in the open-to-closed ratio: which percentage of the paver is solid and which percentage is open to let air and light through. We call this the O/C RATIO. You’ll find it in the rightmost column of the tables.

The tables below show the three currently available series of breeze blocks.
